Getting started
What do I need to start?
An SOS Inventory account with admin rights, and the email addresses of the customers you want to invite. Nothing to install.
How long does setup take?
Connecting SOS takes two clicks. The first sync takes a few minutes for a catalog of several hundred products. Most of the time goes into choosing what to show and inviting customers.
Do I choose which products customers see?
Yes. You hide or show products one at a time or by category. New products from SOS stay visible until you hide them.
Can I use my own logo and colours?
Yes. Your logo, your accent colour and your company name appear on your portal and in the emails your customers receive.
Your customers
How do my customers sign in?
With their email address. They receive a sign-in link; there is no password to create or forget.
Do they see their own prices?
Yes. Each customer sees the price tier you assigned in SOS, including quantity breaks and the minimum price.
Can several people at one customer order?
Yes. Invite as many people per customer as you like; their orders all go to that customer in SOS.
Does it work on a phone?
It is built for the phone first, and works just as well on a computer.
Is it in French?
Yes, in French and English. Each person picks their language.
Orders and SOS
What does an order become in SOS?
An Estimate for that customer, with the lines at the prices the customer saw, their PO number, their notes and an order code. Your team reviews and converts it as usual.
Can an order be created twice by mistake?
No. If an order is sent twice or SOS doesn’t answer, PocketPO checks SOS for the order code before trying again.
How often is the catalog updated?
Every night, and any time you click Sync now.
Can my sales reps order for customers?
Yes. A sales rep picks a customer, sees that customer’s prices and orders for them. Their name appears on the order and in SOS.
Does PocketPO show stock?
It shows “In stock” or “On order” from SOS. It never blocks an order; your team confirms availability.
Data and security
Where is my data?
On servers in Toronto, Canada. Each distributor’s data is kept separate from every other.
Does PocketPO change my data in SOS?
It reads your products, prices and customers, and creates Estimates. It changes nothing else.
How is the SOS connection protected?
PocketPO never sees your SOS password. The access SOS grants it is stored encrypted, and you can disconnect at any time.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. On request, we send you a full export.
Billing
How much does it cost?
CA$349 a month, or CA$290 a month billed yearly (CA$3,480), plus taxes. Unlimited customers, orders and sales reps.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 30 days, with no setup fee.
Can I pay in Canadian dollars?
Yes, CAD billing is available.
